Packaging design reflecting the premium positioning and differentiating from the the portfolio.
As one of the long-established brands of Turkey, Komili’s limited edition of Komili Gurme Olive Oil required a new packaging design to stand out on the shelves. As a special product for the epicures, only 20 000 bottles of Komili Gurme Unfiltered Early Harvest Olive Oil have been produced.
GLBA Istanbul partner, Orhan Irmak Tasarim, used white as the main colour on the packaging. This aimed at differentiating the product from the rest of the Komili olive oil range on the shelves where emerald green is the main colour for the range.
To let the consumers see the unfiltered olive oil’s unique colour, the bottom half of the bottle is left partly transparent. The black and gold colours in the olive branch illustration highlight the product’s high value.
