A refreshing new look for 128 years old brand: packaging design of Hacı Şakir Spring Flowers Soap Bars from Orhan Irmak Tasarım
Nowadays more and more consumers prefer liquid soaps over soap bars. However, well-established brand Hacı Şakir still maintains traditional cleaning way: White solid soaps. A brand that holds a place in every Turkish person’s life, Hacı Şakir will now be on the shelves with GLBA Istanbul – Orhan Irmak Tasarım’s packaging design. With a history of 128 years, Hacı Şakir is “the traditional soap of Turkey” and represents pure cleanliness.
Most challenging part of the project was to create a fresh and modern look, which can compete with the modern feeling of liquid soaps. Spring flowers inspire the new packaging designs that bring together the spring freshness with the pure cleanliness that is at the heart of the brand. In order to emphasize the cleanliness perception and highlight the product, Orhan Irmak Tasarım team used the transparency as a design element.
